TRITTON Technologies to Grab the Gaming Industry by the Ears at E3 2009

TRITTON Technologies, a leader in gaming audio technology, will debut the newest additions to its unmatched gaming headset line at the 2009 E3 Expo in Los Angeles from June 2-4, 2009.   Expo attendees will be able to test these new products and also participate in the “TRITTON Challenge,” where the industry leader’s entire line up will be pitted against the competition’s top products to determine once and for all who has the best gaming headsets on the market.

On the heels of the flagship AX Pro, an acclaimed 5.1 audio gaming headset, TRITTON Technologies will unveil at E3 two impressive 3D surround sound gaming headsets optimized for use with the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Hi-Fi audio.  The much anticipated AX 720 is TRITTON’s answer to gamers’ requests for a Dolby Digital headset featuring Dolby Headphone technology with inline audio controls and independent chat volume control.  With features like USB microphone support for PS3, PC and Mac, voice compatibility with Xbox Live and a breakaway cable design that allows users to connect to an MP3 player or iPhone, the AX 720 is a complete audio solution for today’s gamer.

TRITTON Technologies will also introduce its new wireless surround sound gaming headset featuring Dolby Headphone technology, the AX 400.  With all the audio features of the AX 720 except an in-line audio control, the AX 400 goes further with Wii compatibility and freedom from wires.

“In front of the entire gaming industry, we’d like to settle the score with the ‘TRITTON Challenge’ by proving who has the best sounding headsets for the PS3 and Xbox 360,” said Christopher Von Huben, president, TRITTON Technologies.  “We want people to test our headsets against the leading competition side-by-side, so they can understand why we say TRITTON offers the Ultimate gaming headsets.  We provide products that fully take advantage of the audio technology that developers are building into the newest games.   With TRITTON headsets, gamers can fully absorb the ultra-detailed sound elements the way they were intended to be heard.”

Expo attendees who stop by the TRITTON booth (South Hall, Booth 2730) can take the “TRITTON Challenge” to judge for themselves who provides the best high-performance gaming headgear.  TRITTON’s line of headsets will be powered up next to the leading competitors’ products for an audio showdown that will leave testers with ringing ears and loose teeth.

Atlus Online Makes Debut Appearance at E3 2009

LOS ANGELES and Irvine, Calif. – May 19, 2009 – Atlus Online, a daily destination for community-focused gaming and interactive entertainment, will provide visitors to the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) a steamy treat: a playable demo of its upcoming steampunk-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent.

Atlus Online’s portal is dedicated to high-quality, user-driven content, with an emphasis on online games and anime. In addition to providing a hub for members to share their passions, meet new friends, and experience numerous forms of unique digital media, the portal will also soon be home to Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent, the first full-length game to launch on the site. Visitors that stop by Atlus Online’s booth – #4913 in the West Hall – will not only be able to explore the many facets of the portal, but also get a sneak peek of the game before its official launch later this summer.

Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent is the only MMORPG of its kind, set in an imaginative steampunk world, where 19th century steam-based technology meets fantasy inventions. The game transports players to a land where two nations battle over a precious resource called Neo Steam. From the onset, customization is key to each player’s experience, where they can choose which nation to join and select from a number of specialized classes. As players battle to expand their nation’s resources and protect their borders from invasion, they must learn to harness the Neo Steam technology to upgrade their equipment, learn new abilities, and progress in their chosen class.

Atlus Online representatives will be on hand for meetings from June 2-4 at the company’s booth, #4913 in the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Atlus Online invites press and prospective business partners to schedule meetings prior to the show or visit the booth.

Harcos in WSJ.com Small Biz Feature

Harcos, creators of the tastey and powerific energy shots made for gamers by gamers, Mana Energy Potion, is featured in a small business story on WSJ.com today.  The article, called “Exhibitions Game” is about how small businesses can maximize their limited trade show budgets. Harcos’ Aaron Rasmussen provides some great insight:

When it comes to outfitting your booth, consider used display materials, says Aaron Rasmussen, co-founder of Harcos LLC, Santa Monica, Calif., the maker of Mana Energy Potion, an energy drink for gamers. In September, he spent $950 on a used backdrop that normally sells for $1,100 new. “Some companies buy them, use them once and return them,” he says.

He also recommends buying furniture for your booth from a discount store such as Ikea instead of renting it from the show operator. Not only are you likely to spend less, but you’ll be able to use whatever you buy more than once, he says.

As a last resort, you can always just walk the floors of an exhibition and introduce yourself to buyers. Also be sure to bring some product that you can give away to “anyone with a camera or microphone,” says Mr. Rasmussen. At a comic-book industry convention earlier this year, Mr. Rasmussen handed a sample of his company’s energy drink to video producers for The Review Zoo, an entertainment Web site. The crew responded with an on-the-spot interview request, and he happily obliged.

Here’s the entire article.

Atlus Online on Wired.com/GeekDad

Atlus Online’s Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent, a steampunk-based massively multi-player online role-playing game, gets some love from Wired.com’s Geek Dad.

New Steampunk MMO Launches Golden Ticket Beta Promotion

Image: Neo Steam gogglesAs an avid handheld gamer with an obvious Nintendo fetish, the name Atlus conjures up a host of warm memories. Yet while I typically think of them as the company that developed quirky titles like Luminous Arc and the Trauma Center series and the publisher that brought such delightful Japanese oddities as Revelations: The Demon Slayer and the Super Robot Taisen saga to American shores, Atlus itself has been working to significantly broaden its scope.

Earlier this year the company launched an online interactive entertainment division known simply as Atlus Online, and this week they’ve announced the portal’s first full-length title. Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent is a anime-flavored steampunk fantasy MMORPG that places gamers in a war-torn world where dueling nations vie for control over a precious resource called Neo Steam. Like its MMO predecessors, the title allows players to align themselves with either of two dominant factions and encourages continuous character customization. It also allows for typical gameplay elements such as the development of new equipment and abilities, but with a distinct steampunk twist.
