WComms has been honored with an esteemed PRism Award and coveted Certificates of Excellence – notable awards for distinction in public relations. The Los Angeles chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, the world’s largest and most prestigious organization of public relations professionals, presented the awards to Wonacott Communications, acknowledging the agency for flawlessly executing public relations campaigns for special events and consumer electronics product launches.
Wonacott Communications received the highly regarded “PRism Award” in the “One-Time Media or Special Event – Corporate/Brand – Under $50,000 Budget” category for its benchmark campaign unveiling the upcoming online video game All Points Bulletin (APB) at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in May 2009. As a direct result of the agencies’ efforts, which included a blend of traditional media relations with heavy use of social media initiatives, more than 200 media members were introduced to APB at the show. The game and its developer, Realtime Worlds, received more than 220 articles or press mentions with an estimated 50 million impressions.
“Wonacott Communication’s proved to be a tremendous asset to Realtime Worlds, moving at lightning speed to answer our game time call to unveil All Points Bulletin at E3,” said Tony Harman, president, Realtime Worlds. “We were impressed with our team at Wonacott Communications and their ability to excel within a set budget, leverage their vast relationships and provide fantastic client services.”
The award-winning agency also took home two coveted “Certificates of Excellence.” Wonacott Communications received one of the industry awards for its work with NHN USA, Inc., which hosts a leading portal for hardcore online games, in the “One-Time Media or Special Event – Corporate/Brand – Under $50,000 Budget” category. The agency handled all aspects of NHN USA’s PR efforts on behalf of ijji.com for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2009, resulting in meetings with more than 50 members of the press and nearly 90 million press impressions.
The company also received the impressive Certificate of Excellence for spearheading the launch of TRITTON Technologies’ flagship AX Pro 5.1 surround sound headset. The award for the consumer electronics launch was in the category of “New Product/Service Launch – Consumer – Under $50,000 Launch Budget.” Wonacott’s product launch PR campaign garnered more than 200 product reviews and press mentions with more than 20 million impressions.
“We pride ourselves on providing the experienced staff, tools and resources of a major PR agency while maintaining the personal attention, flexibility and sensibilities of a power boutique PR firm,” said Jason Wonacott, CEO, Wonacott Communications. “We’ve built a fantastic reputation as not just a vendor, but as a trusted partner that provides passionate, results-focused services. It’s very rewarding to see our peers in the L.A. PR market acknowledging our efforts and successes.”
