Vista, Calif. - Feb. 24, 2009 - TRITTON Technologies Inc., the leading pioneer in USB-to-video solutions, has aligned with Microsoft Corp. to provide seamless integration with its newly announced Windows Multipoint Server 2010 multiuser operating system. TRITTON is introducing hardware solutions to prospective OEM customers, providing USB thin client workstations designed to work specifically with Microsoft’s new Windows Multipoint Server 2010.
Utilizing TRITTON’s SEE2(tm) technology, the USB thin client workstation will provide complete PC functionality and video over USB. TRITTON is working closely with Microsoft on the development and engineering of this new technology, and boasts Microsoft’s full support in the development process.
TRITTON’s relationship with Microsoft is aimed at providing government, education, and enterprise institutions a low cost multiuser configuration while still providing the end users with a genuine Windows experience. By sharing a single server with multiple users through TRITTON Technologies’ USB workstations, organizations can reduce costs on hardware, software licensing, power, and administration costs.
“TRITTON’s low cost USB thin client with integrated video is an unmatched solution for Windows MultiPoint Server 2010,” said Chris Von Huben, CEO, TRITTON Technologies. “The combination of Microsoft’s server software and TRITTON’s USB-to-video hardware is a powerful tool that will allow educators, governments and emerging countries to provide affordable computer access to millions of people around the world.”
“We’re happy to be launching with strong support from companies like TRITTON, which are committed to developing innovative and effective solutions like its Multipoint Workstation 300 for the Windows MultiPoint Server platform,” said Ira Snyder, general manager, Windows MultiPoint Server at Microsoft. “MultiPoint Server brings a familiar Windows computing experience to educational institutions globally, helping them get the best value out of technology investments while providing the very best education for students.”
TRITTON’s newly announced Multipoint Workstation 300 (MWS300) is one of the industry’s first USB thin client virtual workstations designed to function seamlessly with Windows Multipoint Server 2010. The MWS300 connects to the sever via a single USB 2.0 cable and provides connectivity for a complete workstation, including a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, microphone and four USB ports. The revolutionary MWS300 allows multiple users to leverage the resources available in today’s most powerful computer systems. The MWS300 supports standard displays up to 1600 x 1200, and widescreen displays up to 1680 x1050.
