We finally hit the fall season of cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice-flavored everything, and an entertaining collection of carefree indie games to enjoy indoors including Potion Permit, an open-ended sim RPG where players take on a role of a chemist, brewing potions to help townspeople in need. Top-tier media and influencers adored this chill RPG so much we sent out over 100 game codes, securing plenty of reviews and Let’s Plays all month.
To begin gathering media’s interest in the adventure game’s launch, we encouraged outlets to include Potion Permit on their September launch calendars. We secured placements on popular sites, including Kotaku, GameSpot, Game Rant, and TechRadar. We even landed this cute RPG in roundups featuring top games similar to Stardew Valley on sites such as Screen Rant and PC Gamer.
Leading up to the September launch, we confirmed review interest with more than 90 media and influencers, sending out over 100 game keys.
After pre-pitching the launch news and trailer, and distributing game copies, we earned top coverage with sites including Screen Rant, Game Rant, GameSpot, PC Gamer, We Got This Covered, Twinfinite, and Prima Games. Popular gaming YouTube creators Throneful, Zebra Gamer, Felicia Day, Koramora, justonegamr, and CrypticFox all enjoyed brewing potions and sharing with their viewers.
To further celebrate Potion Permit’s successful launch, we coordinated retail copy giveaways with media and influencers, including Slant Magazine, Console Creatures, Nintendo Dads, video.kames (TikTok), A Casual Gamer (Twitter), Play with Josh (Twitter), and atwentysomethingloser (Twitter). Each giveaway received a ton of entries, and many player comments expressed their love for the game.
