Last week, independent studio Kobojo decided to shake things up by announcing the unprecedented news that the company’s highly anticipated Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) title Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey will be released as a premium mobile game – despite the fact that Kobojo has traditionally been a free-to-play gaming outfit. Repeat: a free-to-play (F2P) game company is changing its business model to premium games. This is huge news. How huge?
