Halloween came early this year as we worked with UK-based publisher Perp Games and Argentinian developer BLOODiOUS Games with the global release of their debut horror game, MADiSON. We worked closely with Perp Games and secured over 300 pieces of coverage highlighting both its digital and physical release throughout July and August.
Thanks to the MADiSON demo released in 2018, fans were hyped for this game to launch. When summer showcases came along, fans were stoked to see the Blue Knees reveal trailer at IGN’s Expo and the Guerilla Collective Showcase. After the big reveal, we placed the trailer with multiple media, luring in more review requests and locking in top-tier launch coverage.
Of course, we didn’t stop there. We pulled some strings and secured exclusive previews with two of the largest Xbox and Nintendo outlets – Windows Central and Nintendo Life, respectively. Both reporters loved the fearsome gameplay and their articles set the stage for MADiSON as one of the most highly anticipated horrors to launch in July.
We pushed for more interest and secured additional influencer opportunities with huge communities that love horror games. When the digital launch came, we landed coverage with PC Gamer, GamingSym, Destructoid and GoNintendo. Reviews also rolled in from Game Rant, Pocket Tactics, Rock, Paper, Shotgun, Mutiplayer.it, Game Informer, GameSpew and many more.
We also locked in hilarious Let’s Play videos with top content creators such as MiawAug, Hollow, IGP, SuperHorrorBro, John Wolfe and more on YouTube. Millions of viewers loved the chilling story and begged these influencers to post more MADiSON content.
One of biggest challenges was providing keys to over 150 outlets and influencers across all platforms in different markets around the world. We took great care in organizing all the requests and provided media their key in a timely manner.
Continuing the momentum with MADiSON’s PlayStation retail launch, we sent PlayStation copies of the Possessed Edition to media and influencers. This special edition came with awesome themed merch and DLC keys for in-game skins.
