Spooky Season is one of our favorite times of the year because we get to spread the word about our incredible clients’ ghoulish games and events. This year, we have plenty of frightfully fantastic treats to share, including chilling live-service events from thatgamecompany and Digital Extremes, and horror-ific games from Perp Games that’ll scare the pants off any gamer.
thatgamecompany
The Cackling Crab may sound like a cool undersea bar, but it’s actually the hub for Sky: Children of the Light’s wicked event, “Days of Mischief”. From Oct. 23 – Nov. 12, Sky kids will encounter troublesome Dark Crabs that have plenty of tricks up their metaphorical sleeves. Make the wrong move and you might turn into a crab yourself!
Digital Extremes
Warframe is taking two pieces of candy (even though the sign only said one) with an October double feature for spook-inclined Tenno. “Nights of Naberus” brings players an assortment of seasonal goods via a limited-time shop. On top of that, Warframe is cranking up the horror with “Abyss of Dagath”, an all-new update adding a headless horsewoman Warframe alongside a new Prime Warframe and a host of new activities.
Perp Games
ICYMI, some unfriendly extraterrestrial visitors descended upon the eerie town of Greyhill earlier this year in Perp Games’ survival-horror game, Greyhill Incident. Inspired by the iconic X-Files franchise and thrilling, surprise-ending film Signs, this classic alien invasion story will send chills down your spine. If you haven’t had the chance to check this one out, or dare to revisit it, now is a great time – just make sure you put on your tinfoil hat before diving in.
Another scary pick from Perp Games’ catalog is MADiSON – a petrifying first-person horror game where players are forced to commit unthinkable acts as main character Luca is haunted by the spirit of an evil murderer. This award-winning title launched last year and will soon offer an equally chilling VR experience. Take a few deep breaths before this one – it’s an intense ride.
If you’re dying to know more, you can read our previous blog posts on Greyhill Incident and MADiSON.
Now if you don’t mind, we’re gonna snack on some candy and check out these spooky treats to get in the Halloween spirit – and you should do the same!
