In case you’ve been living under a rock in an underground cave, Core Keeper released on Steam Early Access last month with over 500,000 downloads and a growing online community. Our PR campaign supported the game’s milestones every inch of the way with dedicated outreach to gaming media and influencers leading to an incredibly successful early access launch.
We started seeding Core Keeper to media and influencers at the start of Steam Next Fest back in February. We carefully selected targets, looking at fans of Stardew Valley, Terraria, Valheim and other similar co-op games, to offer exclusive early admission into early access ahead of its public availability.
As a result, we locked in several influencer Let’s Plays timed to Steam Next Fest including videos and streams from SplatterCatGaming, Relyea, Z1 Gaming, JADECRAFT and many more. Core Keeper’s presence at the virtual festival also grabbed the attention of Felicia Day and Notch, creator of Minecraft who tweeted about the game!
Once the early access launched on March 8, the anticipation was already high, and it bloomed as more media and influencers covered the game. We struck gold and secured over 50 hits with media and influencers including coverage on Polygon, GameRant, PC Gamer, PCGamesN, GameSkinny, Game Informer, TechRaptor and much more.
Stay tuned for more from Fireshine Games, including Core Keeper’s official launch coming soon.
